Hi everyone! Even though I've been married for a little over a month now, I still have some more 'Wedding Wednesday' posts for you! They say that the first year of marriage is the hardest. A couple days ago we were joking that we 'survived' our first month... 11 more to go! LOL But truthfully, I'm not sure why people say that. We've been so happy and enjoying being husband and wife! It's actually SO relaxing to not have to plan plan plan and spend spend spend anymore! We are back to date nights, movie nights and cuddles (as opposed to weekends filled with seating charts and DIY wooden signs! Haha!).
Today, I am teaming up with Minted to share our Thank You cards!
If you couldn't tell from our engagement photos, we are completely obsessed with our dog, Monty. We knew we wanted him to be a part of our special day. We had him walk down the aisle as our 2nd Best Man. Our photographer, Amy, captured this sweet picture of the 3 of us, and I knew I had to use it as our Thank You card.
I went on Minted's website right away to start designing. I had already used them for my Save the Date and Wedding Invites (blog post coming soon!), so I knew that they would do an amazing job in a short amount of time!
Once you navigate to Minted Weddings, you can see all the stationary that they offer! I clicked on Thank You's and found 1,502 designs to choose from!
The first step that I always do is to click "Show With My Photo" in green to see what our cards will look like! This narrowed my design options down to 249 (since some of the designs didn't have a custom photo option on the front).
Once I was able to see how our picture looked on each design, I realized that I needed a card that was portrait instead of landscape (see the lovely design that has my head cut off? Yea not a good look, LOL!). This also helped narrow down our options, which is good because 1,502 can be a bit overwhelming at first. After much debate, I chose the design called 'Of the Sea' designed by Shirley Lin Schneider and it was perfect! I love the cursive 'thank you' because it matched a lot of our other stationary and wedding printables.
Once I submitted my order, I was able to add envelopes with free recipient addressing to my cart as well! Since I had already used Minted for my other wedding stationary, it was super quick because I already had all my family and friend's names/addresses saved. I chose to upgrade to the "speckletone kraft" envelopes, because they matched our rustic theme!
How cute are the front of these envelopes?! And trust me, you do NOT want to be hand addressing 50+ of these bad boys! It's super convenient, and FREE (I noticed other sites charge for this feature!).
The designer sent me a proof the same day, and once I approved it went straight into production! I received my Thank You's the next week and they were absolutely perfect! I've already received compliments on our Thank You cards! I think it adds a little something to have them custom and personalized :) It's also a keepsake for your family and friends to have a nice wedding photo to hang on their fridge!
