WEDDING WEDNESDAY: BACHELORETTE PARTY AT DRYBAR

Updated: May 13, 2020

Good morning! Happy hump day! Today I am continuing my 'Wedding Wedneday' series and sharing my experience at Drybar, as part of my Bachelorette weekend festivities! A week & a half ago, I flew back to Illinois to celebrate my Bachelorette & Bridal Shower with my bridal party. My maid of honor planned an entire day of fun in River North, Chicago! After an amazing brunch at The Signature Room (located on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Building), we headed to Drybar to get pampered!

How gorgeous are all of my leading ladies with our blowouts and curls?! But let's rewind to the beginning! When we arrived, I was amazed at how beautiful it was! Everything was light, white and airy and their products were perfectly placed on tons of shelves! I love using their Triple Sec volumizing spray (I posted about it here almost a year ago!), but I was looking forward to trying out more of their products!

How cute is this Snapchat filter that my maid of honor created for us to use? She's the best!

Here is my obligatory "before" picture. Don't judge!! I didn't want to invest time into styling my hair before our appointment (what's the point?!). We had a strict "limited photo" policy during our brunch, until after our Drybar appointment LOL

Once we checked in, they started pulling my girls back one by one to start their washes! Doesn't this look so relaxing?! They incorporate a mini head massage into the shampoo, it was amazing!!

They used the Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo on the blondes, which really helps eliminate brassy tones! The smell was amazing as well! Next it was time to start drying! My stylist, Kay, gave me a pamphlet and asked which style I wanted. I immediately gravitated to "Mai Tai" which is described as effortless, messy, beachy hair, my favorite!

She applied Hot Toddy to my hair to protect it from heat. Then she added some Southern Belle Volumizing Mousse to my roots for volume! She used the 3-in-1 Triple Sec Spray after my hair was dry, to give it extra volume before curling. This product smells AMAZING! I've been using it for over a year & I've actually had 2 friends start using it just because they smelled it on my hair. After curling my hair, she sealed it with The Sheriff medium hold hairspray.

Wah-lah!! Picture perfect beach waves! My hair was simply gorgeous and it lasted all night! After we finished, Drybar was kind enough to give us all goodie bags (pictured below)! They included a mini Sparkling Soda shine mist, Money Maker flexible hold hairspray, and a hair tie!

Thank you SO much to Drybar for collaborating with me on this post! We had an amazing time getting pampered for my Bachelorette, and will definitely be coming back in the future!
